Steven Eszenyi, 77, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal life on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016. Son of the late Balazs and Ilona Sulymos Eszenyi, he was born and raised in Hungary and resided there before moving to Connecticut in 1957. Settling first in Bridgeport, but then living the majority of his life in Trumbull. Steven was a retired employee for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his moments with friends at the Calvin United Church of Christ and the Hungarian community. Steven was fond of being with his colleagues at the State of CT DOT, as well as Lake and Main Service Center in Trumbull. He took pleasure in soccer, gardening, and eating his native Hungarian food. Steven\u2019s memory will lovingly be remembered by his sons, Steven Alexander Eszenyi, and his wife, Susan and their sons, Steven Adam and Robert Eszenyi, all of Trumbull, and John Eszenyi, and his partner, Jill Kassim, of Monroe; two brothers, Geza and John Eszenyi, both of Hungary; and his former spouse, Maria Eszenyi, and her partner, Chris Costello, of Stratford. In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by a brother, Bela Eszenyi. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvin United Church of Christ, 901 Kings Highway E., in Fairfield, CT on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 4 p.m. A reception to be held in Jonas Hall on the church grounds afterward.
