Irene Malsky Kochiss, 97, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late William Kochiss, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Lord Chamberlain Health Center, Stratford.Mrs. Kochiss, a retired assembler for Norden\u2019s was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Sussie (Lazor) Malsky and has been a lifelong area resident.She was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church in Bridgeport, where she was a member of the Choir, Seniors and Women\u2019s Guild, serving in many offices. She was also a member of the Eastern Orthodox Women\u2019s Council and was an avid bowler.Survivors include her devoted children, William G. Kochiss and his wife Kathleen of Shelton, and David D. Kochiss and his wife Barbara of Stratford, 3 grandchildren, Darcy Ellis (Thomas), Kimberly Powers (Michael), and William G. Kochiss Jr, (Tori), 5 great-grandchildren, Gillian, Breanne, Thomas, Hunter, and Averi, several brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, and nieces and nephews.In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was pre-ceased by her brother, John Malsky and sister, Dorothy Maslky.Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, April 1st at 9:15 AM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10AM at Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, Bridgeport, for a Requiem Funeral Service. Internment will be in St. John\u2019s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet her family on Tuesday from 4-7PM.
