Elizabeth \u201cBetty\u201d Dombe Kiely, age 103 of Trumbull passed away, Saturday, June 14, 2014 in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late James D. Kiely. Originally from Torrington she was the oldest of seven children. Betty moved to Bridgeport with her late husband, Jim and later settled in Trumbull where she has lived for more than 60 years. Betty, who retired from Sacred Heart University where she worked since the late 60\u2019s, was an avid bridge player and loved to read. She started bowling when she was in her 70\u2019s and was a regular mall walker. At the end of the day, she always quipped, \u201cA good time was had by all!!\u201d Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Kiely and Robert Schley of Fairfield, grandson James Kiely of Derby, sister, Virginia Corcoran and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brothers, Julius, Louis, and Bill and sisters, Barbara and Rose. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:15am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00am in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at a later date in St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Tuesday 4-7pm at the funeral home.
