Obituary: Vincent F. “Poppy” Cavalier, 93, of Trumbull

Vincent F. “Poppy” Cavalier, 93, of Trumbull, master wood pattern maker, working at Farrel Birmingham in Derby, Denver Patterns in Bridgeport and retiring as head  pattern maker from Carpenter Technology, husband of Marie Higgins Cavalier, died April 23, at St. Vincent Medical Center.

Born in Bridgeport; U.S. Navy; active member of the Trumbull Volunteer Firefighters.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Leichsenring and her husband, Hans of Trumbull, and his son, Gregg and his wife, Deborah, also of Trumbull, three grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, his brother, Gerald Cavalier, two sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law.

Predeceased by his son, Bruce Thomas Cavalier, and three brothers, Ben, Tony and Louie.

Services: May 18, 11 a.m., St. Theresa Church, Trumbull, followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
