Obituary: Peter Minniti, 90, of Trumbull

Peter Minniti, age 90, of Trumbull, died July 23, in his home.

Mr. Minniti was born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Beatrice (Bernardi) Minniti and was a Trumbull resident for many years.

He graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in aeronautical engineering. He was an engineer for Perkin Elmer for many years having also worked for Chance Vought and Sikorsky.

An avid sportsman, he coached little league for over 25 years; his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. He also served as Chairman of the Board for Mutual Security Credit Union. He proudly served our country as a US Navy veteran during WWII.

Survivors include one son, Peter J. Minniti Jr. and his wife Dina of Madison; three daughters, Donna Marsillio and her husband Chuck Rollo of Shelton, Judy and her husband Richard Sokolowski of Shelton and Barbara and her husband Michael Lombardi of Shelton, brother and sister in laws, Joseph and Ann Trovarelli, Michael Riso, and Charlotte Vendetti; eight cherished grandchildren, Nicole Marsillio, Patrick Lombardi and his wife Heather, Lia Marsillio, Sara Lombardi, Michael Sokolowski, Thea Sokolowski, Krista Minniti and Kylie Minniti, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Agnes Vendetti Minniti, ; his sister Charlotte Scala and her husband Joseph.

Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Friday (tomorrow) at 10:00 a.m. in the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. St. Theresa Church 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
