Obituary: Kristy L. Ludlam Waizenegger, 50, of Trumbull

Kristy L. Ludlam Waizenegger, 50, of Trumbull, senior consultant for The Hartford, multiple term District 4 councilwoman, wife of Steven Waizenegger, died Aug. 18, at home.

Born in Hempstead, N.Y. on April 3, 1966, daughter of William V Ludlam Sr. of Deerfield Beach, Fla. and the late Georgene Rossell Ludlam.

She was a devoted parishioner of St. Theresa Church, Trumbull and it was there where Kristy’s faith would guide her through her difficult times. During the last few years she became an advocate for cancer education and awareness.

Besides her husband and father, survivors include her daughter, Alexandra L. Waizenegger of Trumbull, a brother, William V Ludlam Jr., and his wife, Joan of Hauppauge, N.Y., her father and mother-in-law, Bob and Marie Waizenegger of Lewes, Del., brother-in-law, Robert A. Waizenegger and his wife, Victoria of Fairfax, Va., and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services: Tuesday, Aug. 23, 11 a.m., St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Visiting hours: Monday, 4-9 p.m., Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
