Katherine Bondaruk Duban, age 87, of Trumbull, beloved widow of Stanley Duban, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2013 in St. Vincent’s MC, Bridgeport.
A devoted wife, and the greatest Mom in the world, she is survived by her 3 children, Robert of Norwalk, Richard of Watertown and Barbara of Trumbull, granddaughter Melissa Page Duban Collins and her husband D.J., and her 2 sons Brad and Michael, brothers Al Bondaruk and Dottie Claus of Stratford, John Bondaruk of MD, and Sam Bondaruk of AZ, brother-in-law John Duban of Huntington, and several nieces and nephews, and also her special friends Jonathan and Dava Vargosko.
Katherine was an avid sports fan, who always rooted for the NY METS. Saturday nights were spent with family and friends playing pinochle. She couldn’t miss a day without her newspapers and crossword puzzles.
Katherine was also an animal lover, but Simon was her favorite. She loved to read, and when a James Patterson novel came into the house, she could not put it down.
She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 13th at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery; Bridgeport Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
