Obituary: Joseph J. Fisher, 79, of Trumbull

Joseph J. Fisher, 79, of Trumbull, retired from SNET/AT&T as a telephone installation/repair technician, husband of Patricia Mello Fisher, died May 8, at Bridgeport Hospital, following a nearly three-year battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Born on Dec. 27, 1936 in Nanticoke, Pa., son of the late Joseph and Victoria Robaczewski Fisher; U.S. Air Force.

Also predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Boccamazzo, brother, David Fisher, mother-in-law and father-in-law, and four brothers-in-law.

Besides his wife, survivors include his son, Stephen Fisher and his wife, Jodie, daughter, Sharon Fisher, brother, Robert Fisher and his wife, Paula, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Services: Friday, May 13, noon, St. Stephen’s Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Visiting hours: Thursday, 4-8 p.m.,  Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
