Obituary: Harold E. Ralsten, 91, of Trumbull

Harold E. Ralsten, 91, of Trumbull, mechanical engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft, husband of Scholastica “Shelley” Wassel Ralsten, died Sept. 15, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska on Dec. 7, 1924, son of the late Maxwell Everett Ralsten and Harriett Clara Savage Ralsten; U.S. Navy veteran World War II.

Besides his wife, survivors include five children, Sharon Murray and her husband, Ross of Trumbull, Cynthia Wilvert and her husband, Jim of Glen Allen, Va., Wendy Palmieri and her husband, Fred of Trumbull, Kenneth Ralsten and his wife, Kelly of Newark, Del. and Carol Costanzo and her husband, Steven of Pawcatuck, 14 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Also predeceased by four brothers, Donald, Merrill, Robert and Russell Ralsten and his son, Jeffrey Everett Ralsten.

Services: Friday, Sept. 23, 11 a.m., Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Burial will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Visiting hours: Thursday, 4-8 p.m. and Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
