Dorothy (Barath) Gradowski, 89, of Waterbury, formerly of Trumbull, passed away November 2, 2013 at her home.
She was born in Bridgeport to the late Louis and Julia Barath.
She and her late husband Joseph A. Gradowski owned the Town Hall News Variety in Stratford, CT. She was later employed at Nice and Fresh Bakery and more recently at Stop and Shop in Watertown where she worked for 10 years.
An avid knitter she also was a wonderful baker and made her famous Christmas cookies and gave them to friends and family.
She is survived by her three children, Joseph Gradowski and his wife Victoria of FL, and Kenneth Gradowski and his wife Nancylee of Huntington; Judith Csefai of Waterbury; one sister Elizabeth Martin of Stratford; six grandchildren Victoria Saxer, Kristen Collins, Kenneth Gradowski Jr. Keith Gradowski, Sara Csefai and Scott Csefai; one great grandchild Madelyn Saxer; several nieces and nephews and many close friends and neighbors.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church 635 Bunker Hill Ave. Waterbury, CT. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
