David L. Serafin Sr., 77, of Shoreham, Vt., formerly of Trumbull, math teacher at Mount Abraham Union High School, Bristol, Vt., husband of Linda Serafin, died Oct. 9, at home.
Born on Oct. 9, 1939, in Bridgeport, son of the late Leon and Margaret Serafin.
Besides his wife, survivors include four children, Deb and Mike Orvis of Bristol, Vt. and their children, Tony, Doug, Ben, Rachael and great-grandson Michael; David Jr. and Julie Serafin of Livingston, Mont. and their children, Max, Nicholas, and Charlie; Alan and Niki Serafin of Billings, Mont. and their children, Tori and Josh; Gail Serafin and Bill Barrett of Brandon, Vt. and their son, Joshua; brother, Robert and Viktoria Serafin of Glen, N.Y.; two brothers-in-law, Paul Corban and Bruce and Kimiyo Corban of Canada; the Lathrop family, David, Sheila, Sarah, and Matthew; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Pepper and Racer.
A life celebration was held Oct. 13, at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol, Vt.
