Obituary: Charles “Chuck” Galli, of Trumbull
Charles “Chuck” Galli passed away peacefully on October 29.
He was born in Lawrence, MA on June 12, 1924, to the late Ferruccio and Rosa Galli.
During World War II, he was commissioned in the Navy as an officer and Naval Aviator. Directly after the war he attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and graduated in 1950 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He worked for 35 years at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT as a Mechanical Engineer.
He lived in Trumbull, CT for 41 years, and after retiring moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida in 1986.
Chuck was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marion Mulvey Galli.
He is survived by a sister, Ann Galli Sable, and a brother, retired Air Force Colonel Vincent Galli. He was the loving father of Ruth Walsh, Jean Galli, Carol Perkins and Janet Lyons. Devoted grandfather of Jennifer Cybert, Bethany Nelson, Christopher Perkins, Emily Lyons, Hannah Lyons, and Courtney Perkins, and Great-grandfather of Liev Nelson, Alexandra Cybert and Kylie Cybert.
