Obituary: Anne M. DeVizia, formerly of Trumbull

Anne M. DeVizia, formerly of Trumbull, passed away on Friday, September 20th, 2013 in Nixa, MO.

She was born on March 19, 1922 in Buck Mountain, PA. Anne was the daughter of the late Rev. Liberatore Tristani and the late Antoinette Gregor Tristani.

In 1944 Anne was united in marriage to Lt. Louis John DeVizia. Anne and Lou were married 39 years until his death in 1984.

Anne worked for Shick Safety Razor in Milford, CT for 25 years before retiring in 1983. In 1995 she moved to Springfield, MO.

Anne was a member of James River Assembly of God in Ozark, MO and was blessed with some very special friends with whom she shared many good times.

In addition to her husband and parents, Anne was preceded in death by her brother Frank Tristan, and sisters Helen Galpin O’Brien, Irene Barton, and Micki Erickson. Anne is survived by sons Ronald and wife Diane of Middlebury, CT and Jim and wife Priscilla of Nixa, MO. In addition, Anne is survived by grandchildren Cori DeVizia Notton and husband Conrad, Ronald DeVizia and wife Katie, Adam DeVizia and wife Olivia, and Danielle DeVizia Sidla and husband Matthew. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Riley and Lexi Notton; Gabe, Colin and Christian DeVizia; and Dalton, London and Mia DeVizia. Anne also leaves behind two sisters, Mary Mariano of Brookfield, CT and Pearl Capasso of Guilford, CT, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27th at 10:00am at Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, CT.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Long Hill Burial Grounds in Trumbull.
