To the Editor:

As the Memorial Day holiday again approaches, I am extremely proud and grateful that the spirit of what our veterans suffered, and for which some gave their lives, still moves many of us who attend the beautiful ceremonies and parades that rekindle our thanks and gratitude to these men and women who defended our country and precious freedoms.

To all those who served, to those still serving, those who gave their lives and to those were injured and who live in pain each day, may God extend his richest blessings to each and every man, woman and patriot who honorably preserved our country’s freedoms and liberties.

Let us continue to remind ourselves about the dangers, sacrifices and courage these veterans faced and still face today.

Thank you to each and every one of you dear veterans. God has two dwellings; one in heaven and the other in a veteran’s meek and humble heart.
