Letter: Tara's light burns brightly

To the Editor:

How often do we have elected officials that we really don’t know? Go back through life, all the way to childhood. Back then, maybe you believed in Superman, maybe the Gremlins scared you, or perhaps you fell in love with Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca. All this time, elections carried on; local, state and national elections. And in our towns, in Fairfield and Trumbull, people will continue to get elected. But do you really know who they are, or what they represent? Do the candidates even tell us anymore?

Over time, our thoughts mature and evolve, and we are always searching to find those candidates that are most like us. Perhaps you’re a mother. Or you care about food and what goes into it. Or you believe in hard work and making an honest life for you and your family.

There is a candidate out there that fights hard each day, just like you and I. This candidate believes that it takes one person with an incredible heart, immeasurable drive and a mountain full of determination to do what is best for the towns she represents and each and every person within them.

This person is Tara Cook-Littman. She is running to represent people living in Fairfield and Trumbull as State Representative of the 134th district. She dreams big, she cares, she works hard, and we know exactly who she is. Why? Because unlike a typical politician, she shares her life with us. On Nov. 4, please vote for Tara Cook-Littman.
