To the Editor:

As Chairman of the Trumbull Republican Town Committee, I have the pleasure of working closely with our First Selectman, Tim Herbst, our Town Clerk, Suzanne Burr Monaco, our Town Treasurer, John Ponzio and all of our candidates and elected and appointed board and commission members. As we enter the 2015 Municipal elections, we all spend a great deal of time together discussing how we can take our very positive message of managing the finances of our town in a responsible manner, investing in our outstanding education system, enhancing our infrastructure (roads, parks and recreation and buildings) and supporting our public safety efforts and ensuring a safe, family oriented environment.

I am continually amazed and delighted by our candidate’s energy, passion, commitment and desire to make Trumbull a better place for all of our residents – young and old. I strongly encourage all Trumbull voters to get to know the Republican candidates for elected offices in 2015. We will be out walking in your neighborhood, calling you on the phone, meeting you at town events and holding meet and greets so that you can meet our outstanding team.

We’ve opened our Republican headquarters at 5893 Main Street, behind the Citgo station and we are open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please feel free to stop in for a lawn sign, pick up our candidate brochure, meet our candidates and volunteer to help re-elect First Selectman Tim Herbst and the Republican team.

Through the leadership of First Selectman Herbst, Trumbull has become an oasis in Connecticut – low tax increases, significant economic development and job creation and a great town to raise your family. Please vote for Tim Herbst and the Republican Team and keep Trumbull on the path to prosperity.
Paul S. Lavoie
