I’ve known John for over five years both personally and professionally, including when he last served as treasurer, where I witnessed firsthand John’s qualifications and dedication to this elected office. John has a strong financial background, a critical necessity for the elected official who is managing the investment of your tax dollars. John’s professional credentials include over 40 years corporate experience in the financial sector serving as assistant treasurer and corporate controller. John holds a bachelor of science from Fordham University and MBA from Sacred Heart University and is an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven, instructing in finance, management corporate governess.
In addition to his distinguished professional career, John has a long record of service to the town of Trumbull in various appointed and elected positions including Trumbull Town Council, Board of Finance (eight years) serving two years as chairman, Charter Revision Commission, Pension Board, and member of the Trumbull Golf Commission. Just a few of John’s notable accomplishment included sound investing strategies which helped with multiple bond/credit rating upgrades for Trumbull between 2009-2015 resulting in lower interest rates saving your taxpayer dollars, and handling of all the financials for the annual charity First Selectman’s Gold Classic that supports Trumbull High School programs including football, lacrosse, marching band, baseball, hockey, and the ACE foundation, which in six years, raised over almost $400,000.
