Letter — Choi is excellent for finance board

It is an honor to write a letter to introduce the Trumbull voters to Steve Choi, candidate for Board of Finance and a former student at Jane Ryan Elementary School, where I previously taught. Steve graduated from Trumbull High School in 2000 and went on to graduate from the University of Connecticut. At UConn he received a bachelor of science in finance and a masters of science in financial risk management.

Upon graduation he worked for Citigroup in Hartford in corporate accounting finance. Working for the management program at AAB, he had the opportunity to live and work in Norwalk, Pittsburgh, Switzerland and South Korea focusing on corporate finance, financial planning, taxes, and mergers and acquisitions among others. While living outside the United States, Steve visited over 15 countries. In 2008, Steve returned to Trumbull to work in the family business in electronic manufacturing.

Steve is the youngest of three boys and is part of a wonderful Trumbull family. For those of you who frequent the Trumbull Stop & Shop, you probably already know Steve’s mother Choon.

It’s great to see the next generation of leaders take an active role in town government. As a young student, I distinctly remember Steve's affable personality. He has the unique ability to make everyone feel comfortable. I am proud to be running with him on Paul Lavoie’s ticket. Steve will be an exceptional addition to the Trumbull Board of Finance. His credentials speak for themselves.
