Rabies clinics scheduled in Fairfield Saturday and Trumbull June 7
Fairfield, Saturday, May 17
Fairfield Animal Control, along with Veterinarian Dr. John Kristy and the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, will hold a low-cost dog and cat rabies clinic at the Fairfield Animal Shelter, 211 Richard White Way (formerly One Rod Highway), on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The cost for each vaccine is $20 cash per pet.
All dogs must be on leashes and cats in secure cat carriers.
The clinic is open to anyone from any town and anyone with a state assistance card will receive one free vaccine.
The vaccine used will be a 3-year vaccine, and any pet owner that shows proof of any previous rabies vaccination for their pet, current or expired, will receive a 3-year vaccine). Any pet owner who has no proof of a previous vaccination or is vaccinating a pet for the 1st time will receive a 1-year vaccine.
Trumbull, Saturday, June 7
There will be a rabies clinic for dogs and cats on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Trumbull Highway Department, 366 Church Hill Road. The fee is $20, cash only, for the rabies vaccination.
You must bring a rabies certificate of prior vaccination to receive a three year vaccination. Dogs must be on leashes; cats in carriers.
Town Clerk's Office open for dog licenses
The Town Clerk will be available selling dog licenses at the Town Hall, from 10 a.m.-noon; $8 for altered dogs/$19 for unaltered dogs.
Trumbull Animal Group (TAG) T-shirts will also be for sale for $12 each in red or blue.
