William (Bill) Diaczok, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Lillian L. Diaczok, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2013.

William was born March 6, 1927 in Lodi, New Jersey to the late Anna Romanow and Kazimierz Diaczok.

He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Robuck and a brother, Walter Diaczok.

Bill was loving, compassionate and devoted to his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his late wife Lill, of sixty years, in addition to tinkering around his home using his extraordinary mind to solve problems and be creative. Bill’s latest project was restoring a 1950 roadster.

His desire to learn and discover was unyielding.

He was a Veteran of World War II who served his country in the US Navy.

Mr. Diaczok was Chief Manufacturing Engineer for Pitney Bowes in Stamford before his retirement in 1992.

He was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church and a member of St. Vincent’s Healthy Heart Club.

Bill is survived by his devoted son, William Diaczok of Trumbull; two daughters, Karen Sharp (Jack) of Virginia and Brenda Boback (Frank) of Pennsylvania; a sister, Olga Wroblewski of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Brandon, Gavin and Kaitlin; and one great-grandson, Nicholas.

The family would like to thank and extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Quigley family and Officer Millington of Trumbull, and to the staff of St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

A celebration of Bill’s life will take place in April.
