Teresa M. “Teri” Piccirillo DeZenzo, age 59
Teresa M. “Teri” Piccirillo DeZenzo, 59, of Stratford, wife of Albert L. “Buddy” DeZenzo Jr., died Jan. 29, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Daughter of Gabriella “Ella” Tecca Piccirillo of Trumbull and the late John M. Piccirillo Sr., she was born in Bridgeport.
Teresa was a die-hard NY Giants and NASCAR fan. However, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Logan, whom she affectionately called Noogly. Teresa also took great pleasure in cooking Sunday dinner for family, sharing laughs with friends, spending time on Daytona Beach, and shopping with her daughters.
Teresa’s home was filled with love and comfort for all who entered. Even though she will be greatly missed by all that knew her, Teresa’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all the lives she touched.
In addition to her mother and beloved husband of 38 years, Buddy, other survivors include her daughters, Amy DeZenzo Matto and her husband Matthew, and Christina “Tina” DeZenzo Ziobro and her husband, John III, and her cherished grandson, Logan Ziobro, all of Naugatuck. She is also survived by her brother, John Piccirillo, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Milford, and sister, Lisa George of Ansonia, and many other loving family and friends.
Teresa’s family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Neal Fishbach, Dr. Gary Zimmerman, her nurse, Shante, and her two aides, Don and Joann for the wonderful care they provided.
