Samuel J. Lungi, age 69, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 24, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Mr. Lungi was born in Bridgeport to the late Salvatore and Faye Lungi, graduated from Harding High School and was a Trumbull resident since 1973.

He was a retired chauffer to the President of GE Supply Company. He proudly served his country in the army during the Vietnam Era where he was stationed in Germany.

Mr. Lungi was very active in the Trumbull Community. He was a member of the Trumbull Jaycees, and portrayed Jonathon Trumbull during the Trumbull Bicentennial traveling to the local schools.

He is survived by his beloved wife Linda Andera Lungi of Trumbull; one devoted son Christopher and his wife Alexandra of Arlington, VA; one sister Natalie Vertucci; one brother Richard Lungi and his wife Ann all of FL; sisters-in-laws Dorothy Cicero and her husband Daniel of Bridgeport, MaryJane Cerrone and William Onkey of Stratford, Lisa Andrasko of Trumbull; and Lee Andera of FL and a host of nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Also survived by special friends Kathy and John Cavaliere.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. and at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church 4700 Madison Ave. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
