Michael “Gino” Costantini, 94, of Cheshire, formerly of Stratford, died April 2, at Bridgeport Hospital.

Son of the late Federico and Christina Cecchini Costantini, he was born July 20, 1919, in Ansonia.

He was employed as an engine test technician at the former Avco Lycoming in Stratford until his retirement 33 years ago. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Gino was the family historian and enjoyed repairing watches, walking and jogging.

He is survived by a loving and devoted daughter, Audrey Seigle of Cheshire, a brother, Lino Constantino of Shelton, two sisters, Angelina Wojtowicz of Trumbull and Irma Esposito of Ansonia, four cherished grandchildren, Amber Loomis (Andrew) of Middletown, Jamie DiIulio of S. Boston, MA, Katie DiIulio of Stratford, Scott Seigle of Prospect and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Mario Costantini and a sister, Shelley Rapuano.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday April 6, 2014, from 2-4 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
