Maryclaire (Ward) Paullis, age 48, of Newton, NH, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. She is the beloved wife of twenty-one years of Kevin “Jay” Paullis.

Born in Philadelphia, PA  she was one of three children of Paul J. and Barbara (Bowers) Ward of Trumbull.

Maryclaire graduated from Emerson College, Boston and received her Master’s  Degree in Education from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. This led her to a dedicated teaching career specializing in elementary education at the Sparhawk School, Amesbury, MA. Also as a certified instructor, she looked forward to conducting yoga classes in her free time.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by sons, Liam and  Eli, and daughters Sarah and Emily Paullis all of Newton; her brothers, P. Jason Ward, Norwalk, CT and Matthew C. Ward and wife, Kristin of Holliston, MA and several nieces and nephews.

Maryclaire was beloved by family, friends and students who will long remember her patience and encouragement.

Services were held at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, Amesbury, MA on Dec 20 & 21.
