Obituary: John Medak, 88, of Trumbull
John Medak, age 88, of Trumbull, beloved father, papa, uncle, husband and friend, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013.
He leaves to cherish so many happy memories, his daughter Alberta, granddaughter Jennifer, who was the pride of his life, loving companion Mary Creaturo, many nieces and nephews and special friends.
He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Ida Iannarone Medak, son-in- law, John Clark and several brothers and sisters.
John was a proud veteran, having served in World War II as a U.S. Marine and in the Korean War in the U. S. Army. He wore his Marine cap everywhere, and always experienced a thrill when he was acknowledged by other vets young and old. He worked for a time at E&F Construction, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Uncle John was always ready to lend a hand putting his carpentry skills to work for family and friends. Everyone that knew him would describe him as kind, loving, giving, and always a gentleman.
The family would like to thank Dr. Glenn Rich and Dr. Richard Taikowski for all the care they provided over the years. Special Thanks to Dave Kuzma and Jack Curry for their generous friendship, and niece Christine Pastor for coffee and cookies.
