Obituary: Jean Louise (Anderson) Hilzinger, 87, of Trumbull
Jean Louise (Anderson) Hilzinger, age 87, of Trumbull, passed away January 10, 2015 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
She was born in Bridgeport to the late Louis and Lillian Hilzinger.
She graduated from Harding High School and the former New Haven College of Physiotherapy. She was a therapist in orthopedic surgery; however had a second career in dance and music.
She studied singing with the highly esteemed vocal teacher, Ora Witte and trained in free-style jazz with renowned dance teacher and choreographer Matt Mattox. She began a long professional association with him as a faculty member on the teaching staff of “The Mattox School of Dance”.
She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Conrad Hilzinger and his wife Carolina and her great grandnieces Linnea and Lillian Zapata and great grandnephew Jacob Breaux.
Survivors include her brother Kurt Hilzinger with whom she resided; one nephew Lou(Cristi) Hilzinger; one niece Marcela Broe and several grandnieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull with the Reverend Todd Shipley officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
