Emma Marie Garza Genster, 52, worked as Youth Autism Services Coordinator at the Kennedy Center, wife of Timothy Genster, died Dec. 11, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Nov. 4, 1963, in Weslaco, Texas, daughter of Jose Garza and Emma Samudio Garza.

She also is survived by two sons, John Brolley Garza Genster and Charles Austin Genster, siblings, Olga Garza of Austin, Texas, Suzanne Hughes (David) of Midland, Texas, Odella Rickard (Andrew) of Midland, Texas, and George Garza (Sylvia) of Weslaco, Texas, her in-laws, sisters-in-law, nine nieces, and 11 nephews.

Predeceased by her brother, Richard Garza.

Services: Saturday, Dec. 19, 11 a.m., Salem Lutheran Church, 3160 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Visiting hours: Friday, Dec. 18, 4-8 p.m.
