David A. Buckwald, age 51, of Trumbull, formerly of Lake Grove, NY, passed away on January 30, 2016 at Stony Brook University Hospital.

He attended Centereach High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Science from SUNY Potsdam, and a Master in Science from Polytechnic University in Information Management.

Until his death, David worked as a Network Systems Programmer at Grumman Data Systems, then as a Certified I/T Networking Specialist at IBM. After serving as a Systems Engineer at Tivoli, David worked for Aventail then continued onto Dell SonicWALL as Director of Systems Engineering.

As a longtime Trumbull resident, David regularly coached several local youth sports organizations and participated in men's league softball and ice hockey. As a man of many hobbies, he was an avid runner known to participate in local road races, enjoyed fishing and boating, and skiing in the winter.

Survivors include his beloved children Sarah, Kyle, and Matthew, and their mother Mary Beth, all of Trumbull; his parents Sheldon and Paula of Lake Grove, NY; his loving sister Jennifer Magliola and her husband Keith; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at a remembrance held on Thursday, February 4th, from 4pm-8pm at the Nichols Improvement Association, 1773 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull, CT.
