Clarence Barnwell, 81, of Trumbull, husband of Barbara Barnwell, died May 2, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Born in Manhattan, New York on July 11, 1934, son of the late Clarence Barnwell and Viola Barnwell (Gaulman); U.S. Marine Corps, sergeant, Korean War; supervisor and electronics technician for the U.S. Postal Service

Besides his wife, survivors include daughters, Pamela (Eric Sanders, Sr.) of Trumbull and Athena Jenkins of Hamden, four grandsons, two siblings, Joan Steglich, Roanoke, Va. and William (Sandra) Gaulman, Bronx, N.Y., many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Services: Friday, May 6, noon, Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Visiting hours: Friday, 11-noon. Burial will follow in Mount Grove Cemetery, Easton.
