Iris Mary Mordaunt, age seventy-seven, peacefully entered her eternal rest on February 16th, 2013 with family members at her side.

Born in the United Kingdom, November 1934, she relocated with her family in 1966 to Trumbull, Connecticut.

Following her career in the banking industry with Citi Trust and Chase banks, she was the office manager for the State of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Boating Office at Westport, Connecticut.

She was an active and highly decorated officer of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary with twenty five years of service, and received the Coast Guard’s “Presidential Unit Citation” for her dedicated service during the “9-11 incident.”

Family survivors include her ever-loving partner of eighteen years, Kenneth Bradley; loving daughter, Shirley Legen and son-in-law Martin of Naugatuck, Connecticut; devoted son, Dr. Chistopher Mordaunt and wife Diane Wilson of Mifflinburg, PA; son, Alan Trevethan of the United Kingdom; daughter Patricia Farr of Sturbridge, MA; four grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull handled arrangements. Burial in Long Hill Cemetery.
