Grace Mary Ellen Dobelstein of Horizon Bay Assisted Living in Concord, NC, passed away on Dec. 21, 2013.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at the Calvary Lutheran Church of Concord, 950 Brantley Drive, on January 20 ,2013 at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service.

Grace was born on June 10, 1921 in Chicago Illinois, the daughter of Grace and Clarence Kee, deceased. She relocated to Connecticut after her first marriage and raised her children there.

She worked at Middlebrook School for a number of years and was active in Salem Lutheran Church in Bridgeport and later at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Trumbull.

Grace eventually moved to Concord, North Carolina after her second husband Raymond's retirement.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and served on WELCA evangelism and memorial Committes, Shepherdess Circle and was a Homebound Visitor. She also volunteered at CMC Northeast Medical Center, Meals on Wheels, and served as a Lifeline Tester for many years.

She was an avid reader and loved to cook until her failing eyesight curtailed those activities.

She is predeceased by her two husbands, Richard Tedeschi and Raymond Dobelstein, and by her brothers Thomas and Clarence Kee.

She is survived by her children, daughter Linda Nelson , sons Richard Tedeschi, Raymond Dobelstein and Ross Dobelstein; son-in- law Paul (Ed), and daughters-in-law Joan, Cindy and Nancy; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were a delight and bright spot in her life.
