George Thomas Kruzynski, 74, enjoyed golf, travel and history
George Thomas Kruzynski, age 74, husband of Eileen (McDonald) of Madison, Connecticut and Venice, Florida, passed away on July 21, 2015.
Born in Elmhurst, New York, George was the son of the late George Joseph Kruzynski and Agnes (Brzeski) Kruzynski.
George is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eileen, his son Peter of Shelton, Connecticut, his son Michael and his wife Carmela of Shoreham, New York and his daughter Jennifer and her husband Mohsen of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Michael, Noah, Ryan, Sarah, and Liam.
George graduated from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York in 1958. In 1962, he earned his B.B.A. from St. John's University in Jamaica, New York. After St. John's, he obtained a Master's degree in taxation from Pace University in White Plains, New York.
George was employed by Pitney Bowes in Stamford, Connecticut for nearly 30 years. He retired from Pitney Bowes in 2000 with the title of Director of Tax Compliance.
During retirement, George enjoyed golfing, traveling and reading biographies and Civil War histories. His favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. George was a strong supporter of the Plantation Community Foundation in Florida and he had a special interest in aiding impoverished children in Mexico. He also served for several years as the Treasurer of the Clubside Condominium Association at Plantation Golf and Country Club.
Family and friends may visit Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison on Sunday July 26, 2015 from 3pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 11am at St. Margaret’s Church in Madison.
