Trumbull Health Department offers free blood pressure screening

The Trumbull Health Department will be offering a free blood pressure screening for both town employees and community members on Thursday, June 16 at the Trumbull Town Hall Council Chambers from 1 to 2 p.m.

Information and tips on how to maintain good blood pressure numbers and how to stay healthy will be provided to educate the public during the screening.

High blood pressure is very common but dangerous illness. In fact, 1 in 3 U.S. adults have high blood pressure.

High blood pressure typically has no warning signs or symptoms and is usually diagnosed by a doctor during a routine checkup.

Without medical attention, high blood pressure can lead to cardiovascular disease and increase your risk of a stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure.

To prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease, knowing your blood pressure numbers is crucial and could save your life.

Stop by the free blood pressure screening offered by the Trumbull Health Department to see if your numbers are in a healthy range.

The Trumbull Health Department is committed to improving the quality of life for all it serves through the promotion of health, prevention of disease, and by assuring a safe and clean environment for our residents.
