With supplies running low, Trumbull Food Pantry is in need of donations.

The pantry, located at 23 Priscilla Place, exists almost solely through donations from individuals and groups throughout the community.

Here are some of the items needed: Cereal, oatmeal, juice, kids snacks, tomato sauce, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, canned carrots, tuna, paper towels and fruit cocktail.

Donations can be dropped off at The Center at Priscilla Place during building hours, which are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are dropping off a large donation, feel free to call 203-452-5198 and one of their staff will come down and lend you a hand.

Another way to donate is by stopping by a food drive this Sunday, supporting the pantry. The Nichols Improvement Association (NIA) Nichols Teens Give Back (NTGB) will host a food drive on Sunday, Oct. 20, from 12:30-3:30 p.m., at the Starkweather House, located at 1773 Huntington Tpke., Trumbull. All donations from this fund-raiser will benefit the Trumbull Food Bank.
