The support for K9 Cyrus continues to pour in from the Trumbull community.
Trumbull Police Chief Michael Lombardo has announced that members of his department and other town employees will recognize the police dog who passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago.
The ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29 near the Town Hall gazebo.
For those looking to make a donation to the department's K9 unit, the Mobile Veterinary Clinic has started GoFundMe page and has raised $220 of its $13,500 goal.
“We’ve gotten a lot of phone calls,” said Heidi Bowder, the clinic’s office manager. . “A lot of people passing on their condolences but there’s something else they can do to help out.”
