People of all ages gathered last Saturday for Trumbull Day, culminating in the town’s fireworks display. Trumbull Day Commission Chair Elizabeth Mastroianni thanked all those who helped with the volunteer-led event, including the Civil Air Patrol, EMS Police and Fire Department for keeping the site secure.

“On behalf of the entire commission I’d like to thank everyone involved,” she said. “We would never have been able to do an event of this size without the help of the town and all their employees who helped, all our vendor’s and most especially each and every volunteer who helped out. I am truly grateful to everyone. I also want to thank Zambelli for the spectacular fireworks show they put on.”

Trumbull Day started in 1972, to celebrate the town’s 175th anniversary.

While Trumbull’s fireworks were last week, plenty more displays are planned nearby. See a schedule here.
