Photo contest seeks images of winter in Trumbull

The cold landscapes and scenes of winter have a unique beauty that Trumbull’s Conservation Commission wants to see captured on camera.

The commissions’ Winter Photo Contest is underway and all residents can submit photos in three separate categories. Category 1 is “Trumbull, a Winter Wonderland” and would be photos of landmarks, landscapes, etc. Category 2, “Trumbullites in Winter” will capture photos of residents at work in play this time of year. Finally, Category 3 is “Trumbull Wildlife in Winter” and includes shots of birds, mammals or other critters in winter.

Only digital photos will be accepted and can be sent to Conservation@trumbull-ct.gov. Each photographer can submit two (2) entries in each of the three (3) categories (i.e., 6-photos maximum per photographer.) The preferred format is .jpeg.

“On your honor, photos must be taken within the Town of Trumbull,” according to the contest rules. “With each photo please provide the following: A description of the photo (e.g., sleigh riding in Twin Brook Park), the specific category (e.g., Trumbull, People or Wildlife) and the date the photo was taken & photographer’s name.”

The deadline for submissions is Friday, Feb. 14.
