No power outages in Trumbull, warming center open
Here is the latest information from the town of Trumbull on winter storm response:
"The Emergency Operations Center remains partially activated. First Selectman Timothy M. Herbst, yesterday declared a State of Emergency which remains in effect until further notice.
The Travel Ban placed by the Governor has been lifted for Litchfield and Fairfield Counties for SECONDARY streets only in these two counties. A travel ban remains in effect for highways until lifted by the State. Residents are still encouraged to avoid travel while highway crews are able to clear and treat local roadways.
According to United Illuminating, there are no reported power outages within the Town of Trumbull. A UI representative will remain in the EOC until the event is over.
The Shelter located at the Trumbull Senior Center will close as a shelter effective 11:00 A.M.; however, will remain open until 5 as a Warming Center.
Town Hall Offices: Are closed today, but will reopen Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Anyone wishing to pay their taxes are encouraged to visit the Town’s website."
