Senator Marilyn Moore (D-22nd) was recently named majority whip of the State Senate. Moore is in her first term representing Trumbull and part of Monroe and Bridgeport.
“I am eager to represent my constituents of Trumbull, Bridgeport, and Monroe. While each town may have different needs; the budget, education, and our health are universal concerns that I will address,” said Moore. “My constituents can count on me to keep them informed of my progress throughout the year.”
A whip’s role is also to ensure that the elected representatives of their party are in attendance when important votes are taken.
Moore also will be the chairman of the Human Services Committee, vice chairman of the Environment Committee, and a member of both the finance, revenue, bonding and public health committees.
