Memorial Day approaches in Trumbull, with the parade and ceremonies Monday, May 25.

The town of Trumbull, together with American Legion Post 141 and VFW Post 10059, will host the following events for this year’s Memorial Day:

• Memorial service to honor fallen Vietnam veterans, 7:30 a.m. at the Vietnam Memorial site, White Plains Road.

• Memorial service in memory of all deceased veterans, 8:30 a.m. at the Town Hall.

• Annual Memorial Day parade, stepping off at 10 from Marisa’s (6540 Main Street) and marching on Main Street to the Trumbull Town Hall.

The parade grand marshal is Rick McCarthy, CDR (Ret), MSC, USN, a Trumbull High School alumnus who graduated in 1986.

This year’s theme, chosen by Frenchtown Student Brayden Crumb is “Recall, Respect, Remember.”
