After collecting public input, the Trumbull Memorial Day Parade Committee announced that the annual parade will start at 10 a.m. again this year.

A pre-parade Town Hall ceremony starts at 9 a.m. on parade day, May 26.

William Ayles, George Areson and the committee thanked the public for participating in it’s poll on the start time. The committee asked if residents preferred a 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. parade.

“The Trumbull Memorial Day Parade Committee wishes to thank the concerned citizens who responded to our request for the time they preferred for the parade,” Areson said. “We received 111 replies; 62% of which preferred the 10 a.m. start time.

“We wish to thank all the concerned citizen who responded, and hope that all the people of Trumbull will make an effort to attend the parade.”

In the past, the parade started at 2 p.m. but the time was changed to 10 a.m. last year.
