Letter: A voice of reason for District 1
To the Editor:
My name is Suzanne Testani and I am running once again for reelection to the Trumbull Town Council. I am a veteran employee of the Town of Greenwich and currently hold the position of Program Coordinator at the Senior Center.
My husband Jack and I moved to Trumbull in 1989. Our sons Alexander and William are both graduates of Trumbull Public Schools.
I served as a member of the Trumbull Board of Recreation. I am also an active board member of Trumbull’s “Business Education Initiative” (BEI) which sole purpose is to promote the relationship between business and education for students grades K through 12.
I am vice chairman of the council and also serve as chairman of the Legislative and Administration sub-committee (L&A). L&A has worked hard in the areas of enhanced public safety, vital grant funding, employee union issues, and town ordinances.
Some of my core beliefs include:
• Realistic budgeting with an emphasis on fiscal control and responsibility
• Increasing Trumbull’s grand list in order to lessen the financial burden on taxpayers
• Enhanced educational opportunities which will allow our children to compete in today’s workplace.
I have been fortunate to be part of the Herbst administration. I will continue to vote my convictions and be a clear voice of reason in District 1. As always, I will promptly respond to all constituent concerns when serving once again as one of your Town Council Representatives. I and the Republican Team humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday Nov. 5.
Suzanne S. Testani
