To the Editor:

In 2002, I graduated with honors from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where I earned a BA in political science. In 2007, I graduated from Pace University School of Law, where I earned a J.D. While at Pace, I was a member of the Pace Environmental Law Review. In the interest of being succinct, I would encourage residents to read my full biography at www.herbstfortrumbull.org Also, I encourage residents to email me their questions directly at tim@herbstfortrumbull.org. I enjoy Giants football, Yankees baseball, Crossfit, running, golf, reading, working on my house and I'm a big Dave Matthews Band fan.Trumbull is the best Town in America. The tax rate is stable. We have fully funded our pension obligations. There is less of a debt burden. We've grown the tax base each year, adding more than 800 jobs to our local economy. This is why our credit rating was upgraded. These last six years we have seen full day kindergarten, increased student technology and the elimination of portable classrooms. I am proud that we also implemented a plan to eliminate pay to participate fees.  I'm proud that we added math and literacy intervention specialists to our high school.  The First Selectman’s Golf Classic has raised over $170,000 for Trumbull High School programs. Coldwell Banker has ranked Trumbull the Number 1 booming community in CT. I will continue to use my experience and love for this town to keep Trumbull moving forward in the right direction.
