The program deadline for Solarize Redding-Easton-Trumbull is just a month away, on Feb. 9.

Many Easton, Redding and Trumbull residents have already signed contracts, collectively generating 100.54 kW of power, bringing Solarize Easton-Redding-Trumbull to Tier 3 pricing, according to the town. As the number of homeowners who install solar increases, the price drops for everyone in Solarize Easton-Redding-Trumbull.

“We are excited that so many residents in the three communities, well over 500, have been able to learn about their home's potential for solar,” said Edward Lavernoich, Trumbull’s Economic & Community Development Director, “We are confident we will reach Tier 5 pricing, the lowest pricing available for our residents.”

Homeowners interested in learning more can attend the program’s final financing workshops. These workshops will focus on the financing options available to Trumbull residents. Homeowners who have already had home evaluations are encouraged to bring their proposals to the workshop and ask questions specific to their home. Sunlight Solar, the official installer for Solarize Easton-Redding-Trumbull, will host the event, provide refreshments, and answer questions about the program and how solar works.

A Trumbull workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Town Hall Council Chambers, 5866 Main St.

A Easton workshop is Saturday, Jan. 18, from 12 too 2 p.m. at the Easton Library, 691 Morehouse Road.

In exchange for outreach support from the towns, Easton, Redding and Trumbull's chosen installer, Sunlight Solar, is offering discounted pricing to three towns' residents.
