Devlin achieves perfect house voting record
State Rep. Laura Devlin, the first year legislator who represents (Fairfield & Trumbull) achieved a perfect record for votes cast on the floor of the state House of Representatives during the 2015 legislative session, according to the House Clerk’s Office.
Devlin, who became a leading voice in Fairfield County with her impassioned speeches on the floor of the House of Representatives against new tax hikes on our state’s individuals and businesses, made all of the 2015 votes in the House of Representatives in her first year as a legislator.
“The residents of Trumbull and Fairfield have given me an awesome responsibility and it is something I take very seriously — to be the voice of the people in the towns I represent,” said Devlin. “Without thoughtful and aggressive representation, a community’s voice can be lost quickly inside the Capitol.”
The next regular session of the legislature will convene in February of 2015.
Devlin, who represents the 134th District in the General Assembly, serves as a member on the legislature’s Transportation, Finance, Revenue and Bonding and Government Administration and Elections committees.
