Pequonnock Valley Hike — Join TNAC for an expedition into the Valley. Learn about the natural landscape, wildlife and history of the Pequonnock Valley. Bring your own water, snack or lunch. Hiking boots and long pants recommended. Moderate hike, approximately two hours. Free. Saturday, June 1, 10 a.m. Rain date: Sunday, June 2, 10 a.m.

Fishing 101 — This workshop is designed for families who want to experience fishing but are unsure where to start. Our experienced instructor will teach you how to select a body of water, what bait to use, how to tie a strong knot, how to cast your bait and how to identify freshwater fish as well as other important fishing information. Ages 6 to adult (6-12 with caregiver). Sunday, June 2, 9-11 a.m., one hour instruction, one hour at the fishing pond. Cost: $7 for non-members; $5 for members.

Intro to Archery — Introduction to archery equipment, safety and shooting techniques. Supervised by a CT DEEP instructor. Ages 8 and up. Free. Sunday, June 9, 9-11 a.m.

Eating Local — Want to taste the best tasting strawberry ever? Join us in exploring how locally farmed foods taste better than your typical grocery store foods. Lori Cochran-Dougall, market director for the Westport Farmers Market, will explore the local food system and help to educate children on farmers, farmers markets and how to find the best tasting food around. Wednesday, June 12, 4-5 p.m. Cost: $5 for non-members; $3 for members.
