Tales from the Trails: The History of the Pequonnock River Valley — Join the Trumbull Historical Society as they host a two part event celebrating the Pequonnock River Valley. Board member and Trumbull teacher Jennifer Winschel, will enlighten residents about the history of the Valley and Housatonic Railroad on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m., at the Trumbull Historical Society, 1856 Huntington Tpke.

Annual Pequonnock River Valley hike — On Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m., Trumbull’s Nature and Arts Center and Historical Society are partnering once again to explore the historical and natural features along the Valley’s East Trail. The hike covers 2.5 miles and lasts approximately two hours. Hikers are encouraged to bring along a water bottle, snack and should wear comfortable shoes and long pants. Meet at the Park Street Commuter Lot at 10:45 a.m.
