Take a stand against bullying, get a chance for a scholarship
Scholarships are available to students who submit ideas to help rid communities of bullying. The Law Offices of Carter Mario Injury Lawyers is holding its CarterCares Scholarship Program, which is a combination effort to assist students going on to college financially, but also to help teens to create stronger schools and communities free of bullying.
Each applicant will be asked to prepare a presentation encouraging other students to take a stand against bullying in their school and community.
Presentations could be of videos, essays, brochures, booklets or how one sees fit. The firm will award $2,000 a piece to 10 high school seniors in Connecticut attending a four-year college or university in the fall.
For more information, vist GetCarter.com/CarterCares or the local high school’s guidance department. All entries must be postmarked no later than Monday, March 25, to qualify.
