Intro to Archery

Saturday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m.-noon; Introduction to archery equipment, safety and shooting techniques. Supervised by a CT DEEP instructor; Ages 8 and up. Free.

“Take a Hike” for Kids

Saturday, Sept. 28, 10:30 a.m., at Twin Brooks Park; Saturday, Oct. 12, 10:30 a.m., at Indian Ledge Park. Children will use their five senses to explore nature and learn about local wildlife and plants on this beginner hike. Recommended for families with children ages 2-8 years old. Free.

Fun with Funghi

Thursday, Oct. 3, 4-5 p.m. Learn the basics of mushrooms and other funghi, the important role funghi play in our eco- system, and their important relationship with plants. Go on a mushroom walk on the TNAC grounds and create a mushroom-related craft to take home. Ages 8 and up. $7 for non-members and $5 for members.
