School fund-raiser called a success
The Booth Hill School Fundraising Committee thanks the parents,
faculty and friends who donated and/or purchased items during its Winter Holiday Boutique fund-raiser. The committee members said the students enjoyed the event and the donated items were appreciated.
The two-day event helped to raised more than $1,800. Mrs. Greco’s 5th grade class won the “most donated items” contest. That class will celebrate with an ice cream social.
Thirty percent of the profits will go towards the Nichols Improvement Association’s Tree Restoration Project, a landmark in town that has since been reestablished after the effects of the devastating winds from Hurricane Sandy on the old tree. The remainder of the profits will go towards the BHS PTA for future school improvements and/or activities.
